After enduring 5 days of rain this August on the French River, we received our well earned compensation in the form of three glorious days of sunshine in Killarney Provincial Park. Site 103 on David Lake offered us spectacular views, a connection to the Silver Peak Trail, and all the acorns that we could eat kindly provided by the local red squirrel who relentlessly unleashed volley after volley of them from high above us. His hours were reasonable though I must admit. He never started before 9am and he typically wrapped things up before 8pm.
